Estimator – Residential Construction

CV2ME Pty
Full-time
On-site
Brisbane, Brisbane, Australia
$110,000,130,000 - $110,000,130,000 USD yearly

About the Opportunity

You’ve spent years leading from within, holding teams together while directors debate and directions change. You can see the path forward clearly, but no one’s willing to commit to it.

The lack of alignment, accountability, and care for growth has left you feeling disconnected from the values that first drew you to the industry.

Deep down, you know you’re made for more and ready to step into a role where your decisions drive the business forward, where profitability, performance, and purpose align.

About the Company

A boutique residential builder delivering high-quality homes across South East Queensland is expanding its estimating and operations capability.

Known for fast build times, strong communication, and a commitment to doing things properly, the company is now seeking an experienced Estimator to help shape and strengthen its internal systems as it scales.

You’ll be joining a business that values structure, transparency, and collaboration, where results matter, but people come first.

About the Role

As an Estimator, you’ll take full ownership of the estimating function, bringing structure and accuracy to every stage of the build process.

You’ll work closely with the Scheduler, Construction Manager, and Director to ensure material orders, supplier pricing, and build programs align with profitability and delivery goals.

This position is currently work-from-home, fully supported by remote systems and communication tools. Some hybrid functions may be required from time to time, depending on project needs or collaboration requirements.

As the company continues to grow, this role offers clear career progression, with the potential to evolve into a leadership or operations management position for the right person.

It’s a role suited to someone who wants to lead the way: designing systems, improving processes, and making sure the company’s growth is matched by efficiency and precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of cost estimating, BOQs, and tender documentation for residential homes.
  • Review drawings, engineering, and specifications to identify efficiencies or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler to ensure correct quantities, material orders, and lead times.
  • Maintain up-to-date supplier and subcontractor pricing to support timely and profitable builds.
  • Process variations and maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with construction, design, and operations teams to ensure consistency across all project stages.
  • Lead the refinement of estimating systems and procedures to support scale and accuracy.

Requirements

About You

You’re an experienced Estimator or Operations professional with a strong understanding of residential construction and a natural drive to improve how things are done.

You’re commercially minded, structured, and ready to lead from the front, not just follow.

You’ll bring:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in residential estimating, operations, or management.
  • Proven ability to implement or improve estimating and costing systems.
  • Experience working alongside schedulers and construction teams to drive efficiency.
  • Strong financial understanding and focus on maintaining profitability.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Confident communicator with a calm, solutions-based approach.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + Super
  • Full-time, long-term position with genuine career growth potential.
  • Autonomy to design and refine systems that improve performance and profit.
  • Work-from-home flexibility, supported by strong digital systems and collaboration tools.
  • Join a builder that values results, integrity, and growth — not red tape or politics.

Next Steps

If you’re ready to take ownership of your work, lead through structure, and play a key role in scaling a builder that does things differently, we’d like to hear from you.
