We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our team, maintaining and repairing our fleet of earthmoving equipment from our Camellia workshop and on-site when required.
This position is focused primarily on excavators and mobile plant. Applicants must have proven earthmoving and excavator experience to be considered.
While our fleet also includes tipper trucks and company vehicles, the core responsibility of this role is servicing, diagnosing, and repairing excavators and earthmoving machinery to ensure maximum reliability and uptime.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role involving both workshop and field service, supporting a fleet of civil and earthmoving equipment through maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and breakdown response.

Key Responsibilities
-
Diagnose, service, and repair faults on excavators and mobile plant

Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

Attend site breakdowns and carry out field repairs as required

Conduct pre-hire inspections and machine checks

Maintain accurate service and maintenance records

Assist with parts management and maintenance planning
Essential Requirements

Trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Mechanic

Demonstrated experience working on excavators and earthmoving equipment

Strong hydraulic diagnostics and fault-finding capabilities

Ability to work independently in workshop and field environments
